They both feel conflicted and confused about the state they are it (For Ezri a bond with a symbionts that she was completely unprepared for, and for Six, being born “defective”). Both Ezri and Six both feel like they are living in the shadows of their previous selves, and the people around them, intentionally or unintentionally, make them feel as though they can never fill the shoes of those who came before. I think the most intriguing aspect of their relationship, would be that they are both beings who remember having lived many lives, and while the circumstances that led to this being the case is different for each of them, they both experience similar difficulties, because of it. What are your favourite things about the ship?: Oh, that’s a loaded question. It wasn’t until I stumbled on the writings of Aesthetic and Ace, that I discovered the very different dynamic of Ezri and Weyoun 6, which I immediately fell in love with. So, the dynamic didn’t really sit well with me, as it didn’t fit my view of either of the characters. What made you ship it?: I believe it was and who made me ship these two! I was already loosely aware of the pairing, but the only fics I had read were about Ezri and Weyoun 7, and were usually based on his sleazy comment about “interspecies mating rituals”. Anyway, thank you for this, I have not talked about these two in so long and it is criminal. I’ve been super groggy these past couple of days and I don’t like answering ask when I’m groggy, because I feel like I’m rushing them.
